| "Aunt training" with Aunt Melissa! |
This has been an exciting week! Ellie is continuing to eat really well and has some sweet times where she is very alert. She is such a curious baby! Her sleeping patterns are another story, though ... Her routine has been no more than 3 hours at a time during the day. She is up from about midnight until three, but then sleeps the most from three until at least seven! Last night she made it almost 7 hours with little fussy moments here and there. I think she'll sleep well at some point. For now, we're trying to adjust to her!
Other new developments, Ellie is loving her paci (pacifier)! She has been using it the most when she is getting sleepy. Might be a habit we regret letting her form later on ... I'll get back to you on that! :) And today was our first introduction of the bottle. Rollin got to feed her, which was precious, and she did great! She downed about 2.5 ounces like a champ! That got us pretty excited for when I go back to work and she has to take the bottle regularly. We'll continue to use it at least once a day. Funny the things we get really excited about these days.

And today was Ellie's first outing! It was a little earlier than I thought I would take her out, but Rollin and I were going stir crazy after 2 1/2 weeks at home. She went with us to Target and Dick's and did really well! (She was well covered and no one touched her, for those who worry!) I got to have my first public restroom changing experience. About as exciting as it sounds, but it was fine! We picked up dinner on the way home and she just started to get fussy. So she made it about 2 hours, not bad! She is definitely getting us excited about future outings. We may make it to church Sunday!
