This was a busy week! So busy that it's actually week 3 1/2, but who's counting? :)

Play time with Daddy! |
Ellie is continuing to eat well, sleep pretty well and is overall a content little baby. She has had some trouble with gas lately, but that's just part of being a newborn. Hopefully it won't get worse and she won't experience too much pain. Side note: gas drops are worth every penny. Seriously.
Our weekly ventures out into the world were to Aunt Melissa's for Girls' Night and to Rollin's parents' house. We watched "Tangled" and "Beauty and the Beast" and pigged out on junk food with some fabulous friends at Melissa's. Ellie slept for a good amount of the time and was even a little social! She also did well at his family's until it got later and she was gassy. We had fun looking at Prince family photos and decided that she looks SO much like Rollin when he was a baby! Could be interesting ... We had to leave once she couldn't seem to get comfortable. The car ride home seemed to soothe her almost instantly, though! Trips out of the house are getting a little less stressful each time we try. Oh, they still stress me out, but there is some improvement there. A little. I'm pretty sure there is anyway ...

Silly girl! |
Rollin has gotten to get out and play softball, thanks to Sara Huff and Gower, and has really enjoyed that. We are trying to adjust to functioning on the little sleep we're getting. Rough transition for me, but I think I'm doing well enough to fool most people into thinking I'm well-rested! The two of us even took our first outing sans baby last night. My mom, Meme, was a very enthusiastic babysitter! We went to dinner (Subway, very fancy), Rollin helped with
WordPlayers auditions, and then we got new phones! Yep, we have succumbed to the world of smartphones. Rollin's friend Ryan got us an AMAZING deal at Verizon and we both got the Droid Charge. Super snazzy. We were sold on all that we'll be able to do on them as Ellie grows.

Ooooh ... Ahhh ... |
So, week three has been great! Crazy to think we are really close to one month with our little one. Pray she can fall asleep earlier than 2 am in the coming nights!
