Ellie Update: Week 37

Our designated "family photo" spot, outside our church.
Ellie is officially "full term" now!  Which means she can come anytime she is ready (the sooner the better in my opinion!).  I had my doctor's appointment today and found out that my Group B Strep test came back negative, thank goodness.  Everything else looked great and I still haven't dilated any, but Ellie is sitting really low these days.  Talk about some serious pelvic pain ... ugh.  Sleeping has become somewhat of a joke as "Mother Nature" is preparing me for motherhood (or so I'm told).

The swimming pool has been fantastic, though!  Feeling weightless for a little while is pretty amazing.  Thank goodness my dad has a pool.  It is definitely getting some use!  Now if only this weather would cooperate ...

FYI: Rollin has been working with The WordPlayers acting camps these last two weeks and has loved it.  He is really doing a great job and it has him pretty pumped about what he'll be doing with the Boys and Girls Club in August!  Praise God for His provision!

Last summer!
Crazy group shot!
Next week is our annual youth beach trip, Sonburn.  This will be the first time neither of us have gone in like 8 years or so.  It's a little bittersweet, but with Ellie due so soon we didn't want to risk it.  I'd really rather not have her in Panama City, FL.  No offense to any Floridians out there!  So, we'll be sending up some prayers for that group as they leave Sunday.  We just know God has amazing things in store for this week!  (Check out our YouTube debut from the 2009 Talent Show: Sonburn Thriller and more pictures: Facebook Album!)

Thankful as always for a great checkup and excited for the blessings God has in store for us!

Baby Gaga:
If you haven't yet delivered, you've reached the calm before the storm. You're probably monitoring your body for those first Early Labor symptoms and wondering what you've forgotten. Your smooshed-up baby is weighing in at around 6.3 lbs and 19 inches (with boys somewhat heavier and longer than girls). As far as their internal organs go, your adorable poop and blood factory has reached "term" - a medical term that means your sweet little bun is birth-ready and labor is welcome and normal at this point. Despite being physically ready to land on planet Earth, your baby's immune system is quite weak and will continue to be that way for their first years of life.
