Break and Beginnings
First of all, let me start by saying that it's Spring Break for me this week! Hallelujah!!! It has come at the perfect time, as usual, and I have already thoroughly enjoyed myself! Ellie is growing every day and doing more and more. Rarely ever do we find her in the same position we left her in when we lay her down for a nap or bedtime any more. She is a wiggle worm! Wonder what this means about her personality? :)
Here are some pictures of the time I've been spending with Ellie beans.
On the flip side, since it is Spring Break, that means Rollin's radiation is about to start. He went in for his final scans this morning and the first radiation treatment will be tomorrow at 3:50 pm. They will try to work with him to find the best time and that will be the time he goes in every day. Hopefully, we'll be able to schedule it a little later, but that isn't too inconvenient of a time, really.
We have still managed to have a peace about the whole process (can't ever underestimate the power of prayer!) and know that whatever lies ahead that God is already there. Thank you, as always, to those who are praying for us. No way we could be so calm without it! We ask you to please pray as Rollin goes in tomorrow afternoon. Pray for that peace to go before him and for the process to go smoothly. Selfishly, we'd also like to pray for minimal nausea! ;)
I'll update the blog after a couple of treatments to let you know how Rollin is feeling and how the radiation is affecting him. Love y'all!

She truly has our hearts in her hands! (And mouth ...) |
Confused by this beautiful, warm weather! |

ReplyDeleteLove my baby (he's always my "baby," you know! :)) Our prayers are ever lifted up for him.
ReplyDeleteAfter watching the Lady Vols play in the NCAA tonight via internet on t.v. screen, when we turned off the game, there was Ellie's big smiling face on the screen! Once again, we both were surprised, and delighted! We had such fun with her this weekend; we are royally spoiled now!
Glad you have some time off to be with your precious family. I know you'll cherish every moment. We miss y'all! ♥ {Love} you all!!!
1) Genius Baby.
ReplyDelete2) Thinking big ole positive thoughts for Rollo, youza and Super Ellie.
3) Does the radiation mean Rollin will start to speak like the Hulk? "Rollin funny." "Rollin miss Tony bad." You know, stuff like that.
4) FYI, my dad found the radiation to be the easiest part. And he was a senior citizen addicted to The Golf Channel.
